Basic Email Help

Here's a step-by-step tutorial on how to set up email in cPanel:

  1. Log in to your Hosterbox cPanel account: Use the login details provided by Hosterbox to log in to your cPanel account. The login URL should be something like https://yourdomain.com/cpanel.

  2. Navigate to the Email Accounts section: Once you're logged in, scroll down to the "Email" section and click on "Email Accounts."

  3. Create a new email account: In the "Email Accounts" section, you can create a new email account by filling out the following information:

  • Email: Enter the name you want to use for your email address (e.g. john@example.com).
  • Password: Enter a secure password for your email account.
  • Mailbox Quota: Set a mailbox quota for your email account (optional).

After filling out the information, click on the "Create Account" button.

  1. Access your email account: Once you've created your email account, you can access it in several ways:
  • Webmail: Click on the "Webmail" button in the "Email" section of cPanel. Choose a webmail client (Horde, Roundcube, or SquirrelMail) to access your email account.

  • Email client: You can set up your email account in an email client such as Outlook or Thunderbird. You'll need to use the following settings:

    • Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com (replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name)
    • Incoming Mail Server Port: 993 (for IMAP) or 995 (for POP3) with SSL enabled
    • Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com (replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name)
    • Outgoing Mail Server Port: 465 with SSL enabled, or 587 with TLS enabled
    • Username: Your full email address
    • Password: The password you set up for your email account
  1. Set up email forwarding (optional): If you want to forward emails sent to your new email address to another email address, you can set up email forwarding. In the "Email Accounts" section, click on "Forwarders" and then "Add Forwarder." Enter the email address you want to forward from and the email address you want to forward to.

That's it! You've successfully set up email in cPanel for your Hosterbox account. You can now send and receive emails using your new email address.
